240v Supply

The 240 Hookup supply consists of a side mounted input socket, mounted just to the side of the drivers door.

All internal 240v cables use double insolated 2.5mm²,  3 core cable run inside "copex" split conduit tubing, routed within the side and roof panels of the vehicle.

The supply is spilt into 2 circuits, one is a "ring main" that feeds all the 240v sockets, switched spurs etc, except for the battery charger, so this can be left connected independently of the living quarters "supply".

The main incomer cable from the side mounted input socket, is routed via the roof support  false panel to the "Change over switch", then to the input RCD of the consumer unit.

The change over switch obtained from Marcle Leisure,  allows the supply to be tested for reverse live/neutral connection, before switching on the consumer unit. If the supply is reversed the red light comes on and a buzzer sounds, and all you have to do to correct the supply is "flick the switch".

The supply for the vehicle and leisure battery charger is via a fused spur on the offside drivers door pillar, feeding the charger that is mounted on the lower side of the drivers seat ( see 12v details ).

There are 240v 3 pin sockets mounted on the sink unit, on the centre pillar between the passenger  and side sliding door, and at the rear on the end of the upper "kitchen" cabinet.

There is also a connection point on the nearside rear of the van for awning poser using a waterproof connection point as shown in picture 4
