Well, the van is now officially a Motorhome on the log book, and also insured as such.

It took the DVLA just over 3 weeks to sort out the paper work, even during the recent postal strike, which I thought was pretty good, thanks DVLA!.

To get this done, what I did was fill in the V5C log book form, filling in the relevant section for the change of body type, and signed the declaration. I also enclosed a covering letter, and portfolio of 11 photographs, showing the vans internal and external views and layout. One thing to make sure is that the conversion conforms to the Vosa regulations, and that the external photographs must show the front and rear registration plates.

I insured the vehicle using Adrian Flux brokers, who where very obliging and thorough.

If you are doing a conversion, and go this route I wish you the best of luck.
