Heating

The water and space heating are derived from 2 Propex© heaters. A HS2000 blown air space heater, and a Malaga 3E water heater, both of which are mounted under the sink. This may seem extravagant for a home van conversion, but as the aim is to use the van all year around , I decided this was essential.

Space Heater

The HS2000 LPG space heater is mounted to the floor, ( the blue heater in picture) and the vent and air inlet pipes both exit from under the heater through the floor. This dictated to some extent where the heater was mounted due to under floor support beams etc.

Water heater

The Malaga 3E water heater, ( the white heater in the picture) is both LPG and 240 heated, this allows for use of gas when no electric hook-up is available, but when a 240v hook-up is available, the 700watt heater heats the water.

Electric Heating

The above heating is supplemented by an electric fan heater mounted in the base of the storage cabinet, and also a 200w ceramic panel heater for "background heating" mounted on the front of the seat behind the drivers seat.
